Think about it for a second. Both sides have to speak the same language.
That means speed, duplex, encapsulation, and trunking mode. While you may
be able to fudge the trunking mode bit of things, the rest of it you can't.
If the speed and duplex are set to auto there's a good chance that it'll
pick the right one, but there's also a chance that it'll pick the wrong
one. Remember: Auto means "ought to not do it".

port,need the both port in each switch have the same speed?and whether both
