a) If route processor utilization always seems to be an issue (particularly
with debug commands) and we all know more memory helps about 60% of all
performance issues, then why hasn't Cisco jumped on the "chip power"
bandwagon?? For crying out loud, There are processors like AMD that are
small and clock well over 1000mhz, it's disturbing to me to think there is
a macintosh processor in some of my favorite routers(shudders). I say
through some memory in that beast, 32mb my BUTT, put a couple 256mb chips in
that sucker. Any explinations why Cisco has stayed in the dark ages of chip
power? Darn it I wanna run the debug all on a campus BB router while logging
it to a telnet session, for later review! How are you suppose to REALLY
diagnose a problem without seeing the router under pressure!!.... ok I'll
stop ranting.
b)More selfish question, Has anyone taken the foundation? I want to take
this as opposed to sweating 3 tests seperately and I've had conflicting
stories. Is it pass all 3 sections or is it ace 2 outta 3 and your in? Any
info on past acounts of personal exp. with this test is appreciated.
