You assign ports to VLANs (L2), but the VLANs are routed via the RP (L3),
not  the switch..Yes I suppose you could assign a different VLAN to each
port, then have the router have subinterfaces for each VLAN/Port. Should be
a high-end RP/Router. You're right. Thanks for clarifying.
