What seems to make the best impression is:
Eagerness to Learn, The ability to Listen, and asking relevant questions
when the timing is appropriate.

Don't concentrate on being super-efficient from Day-1. Instead, Observe the
people you will be working around. Take note of Prevailing dress-code
trends, pay attention to the way things are done, (I.e. I have an Idea, I
should go to XYZ, LMQ's position in the company is as a figurehead, If you
want to get something done, go to ABc.)

Orient yourself to find the most effective way to get your job done, despite
the people and politics that are present in 99.995% of organizations.

Companies expect a short ramp-up orientation period, and in most cases, the
important thing to do is shut-up and listen. You've already got the job,
and there is a lot better chance of looking like an Idiot than an Einstein
if you start out trying to impress everyone.

I have just finished my CCNP and got a job in design starting in two or thee
weeks time. My new employer is also exited with my background with NT and
Novell. As a support guy how would I be productive from day one in
internetworking design environment?. Would CCDA books be for any help ?.
