Rollover:             console            8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1-----1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8
Crossover:            Like devices & uplinks       1&2 -> 3&6 --- 1&2 -> 3&6
Straight through:     Unlike devices     1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-----1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8
