some thing to do when you have crc errors:

1.  open a tbl tkt with your carrier (they should do extensive tests)
2.  verify that timing is slave and not master
3.  verify that your ports and cables are good
4.  make sure your csu looks for the appropriate number of channels (fract T
ckt)
