Hi group If you have a pair of PIX in fail-over mode you can run the Fail-over PIX with a IP address or not. What are the pros and cons of assigning a IP address to the fail-over? as apposed to not? What I thought was that if you run the PIXs in fail-over with IP, they fail-over in about 15 Sec's but all sessions are transferred from PIX to PIX. Where as if you run them with no IP they fail-over in about 5 sec's but all sessions are lost.
