1005 can do ios 12.x. Its limited to IP/AT/IPX I think.
I use a 1004 for my link to the net from the house. You can do some
practical studying with a 1005, but a 2501 is much much
better. Especially if studying for CCIE, I find Enterprise to be so nice
on the routers. I wouldn't waste your time with 10.x.
