Version 1 or version 2

I am beginning my CCNP V2.0 certs this week (as you are all aware by now)
I was curious, my CCNA cert is only v 1.0, to become certified as a CCNP
v2.0 do I have to have CCNA v2.0?
Will I have to redo my CCNA?
