Hi Gang, Do you recall the RIP 1 problem I posted about a month ago ? Went along the lines of TOP, MIDDLE, BOTTOM Routers. Serial link between MIDDLE & TOP. Serial link between MIDDLE & BOTTOM. Ethernet between TOP & BOTTOM. RIP 1 configuration. I did post this, but got no replies. Anyway, found the problem last weekend when I got back from Spain. DLink Hub has only one uplink so x-over to Router BOTTOM. Used straight through cable for other DLINK port to TOP. Every single interface was pingable !!! However, the TOP router wasn't receiving the update from the BOTTOM Router over the Eth/DLink Hub interface. Answer, Because, I only have the one uplink, I used two straight-through cables to the user ports of the DLINK and Bob's yer Uncle. Everything now load balances as I thought it should, not just over the serial cables as it did previously. Regards, Phil. ____________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
