Heloo everyone, I have tried to use CAR to limit my wireless customer to 128Kbps, I have done it on the second router from him and not on the router he is connected on the ethernet interface(configured at 128Kbps,'which seems no to limit'). This is because the router he is connected is Cisco 2500 series which I learn that does not support CAR. So I am now limiting my customer on the interface which is facing my upstream provider. To my supprise the customer is still pumping traffic up to 690Kbps on the interface he is connected! Here is the configuration on the router facing the ocean: ====================================================== interface Serial0/6 description INTERNET LINK BACKBONE PORT ip address 207.45.217.210 255.255.255.252 rate-limit input access-group 102 128000 128000 130000 conform-action transmit exceed-action drop bandwidth 2048 ! logging buffered access-list 102 permit ip any 216.6.26.0 0.0.0.64 !
