We are just beginning to look at a product from Blockade software for
enterprise authentication utilizing a very large legacy ACF2 security
database. Part of the authentication will include users dialing into our
5200 access servers, currently AAA served through CiscoSecure, on a Unix
platform, with the default database and tacacs+. In retrospect, that was
probably a poor choice, since the newer releases of CiscoSecure seem to
favor NT and Radius. I believe tacacs+ is more robust than radius, but
could possibly be a poor choice in the long run. So when we interface with
the new Blockade product and dump CiscoSecure, we will probably go to
Radius. I also would be very interested to hear anybody else's views on
this issue.
Thanks,
