The best way to train for this kind of heavy lifting is gradually.  Start 
out by carrying Ciscopress books with you all the time.  Add a laptop, and a 
few more textbooks when you are ready.  Before you know it, you will be able 
to juggle a couple of 5500's like they were golf balls.
