I would recommend two books on BGP:
BGP4: Interdomain Routing in the Internet (whose author I can't remember at
the moment)
Internet Routing Architectures, 2nd Edition, by Basaam Halabi and some other
fellow.
Both are excellent books. The first is a bare-bones primer on BGP and
doesn't go into a lot of configuration detail, while the second book covers
the workings of the protocol very well while also detailing how to configure
it on Cisco equipment.
