Ok everyone, I will try to post all the details of this problem I am having
in the hope that someone can assist. I have a 2501 router that I purchased
and had to do password recovery. I used this link:

http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/474/pswdrec_2500.html

Now, I cannot boot to flash by changing the config reg back to 0x2102.

Here is what I get upon reload.

Configuration register is 0x2101

What I then try to do is use this link and follow the directions to upgrade
the flash:

http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/620/6.html#2500

Copy the Cisco IOS Software to Flash.
router(boot)# copy tftp flash

Change the configuration register back to its original setting so that the
router boots from Flash. In this example, the original setting was 0x2102.
router(boot)# configure terminal
 router(config)# config-reg 0x2102
router(config)# exit
router(boot)#

Reload the router.
router(boot)# reload
Note: Do not save the configuration

The only problem is... There is no option to copy from TFTP to flash!!
Whether in exec, or conf t mode!

R2501(boot)#copy ?
flh-log Copy FLH log file to server

The only option listed.

R2501(boot)(config)#copy ?
% Unrecognized command
R2501(boot)(config)#copy

Doesn't work.

I am stumped, please assist. ;-)

Jim

BTW, I have TFTP'd before, but only to 4000 and 6500 switches. This is a
home lab router.
