Cthulu,
We (the company I work for) employs a way to fully utilize the entire
bandwidth of an ISDN connection. Now as you know the job of this link is for
call setup, call teardown, and timing. Well the timing is the only one being
used once the connection is up until the connection is requested to
teardown. This timing does not use the entire 16K (BRI). So we run POS
(point of sale i.e. VISA and such) transactions over this link (controlled &
very low bandwidth 2.4k usually) That way the customer can fully utilize the
B's with regular data traffic, and more efficiently utilize the D channel's
bandwidth.
