I've been waiting to say this for a long time, so here goes:
What problem are you tring to solve? ;-)
Is there something wrong with 12.0(9)? Do you need fixes to any particular peformance
issues or bugs? Do you need support for specific cards or features? Are you having
stability problems with the current IOS?
If the answer to the above is no, and this is a production box, I'd advise against
changing IOS versions just for fun. Don't be like me. I like to upgrade from time to
time just to see what happens. ;-) This tends to add a little stress around here from
time to time. I like to stay fairly current, but sometimes it can be like walking a
tightrope.
