If you can qualify for the smartstart you can get 40%
off all aside from the support packs (depends on the
reseller but typically they like to get 100% of list
for it, you should be able to squzee 5-10 points out
of them) aside from that you'll be hard-pressed to get
any more than 35% off. You may want to look into the
larger distributers like the NECs and SBCs. Also
sitting down with Cisco and pushing them a bit
(mention Juniper, Foundry and Alteon) and see what
they due (they are REALLY hurting for sales right now,
but this path requires patience and time.)
Bottom line, if you can get Smartstart there is no
beating it.
