The router cannot examine the mail headers and/or the mail 
content, so in that regard it cannot block SPAM.  If you know the 
offending IP addresses, you could simply block inbound traffic from 
those IP's, but this is a very crude approach.

Your best bet is to configure your mail server appropriately to block 
as much unwanted email as possible.  If your using sendmail, 
check out www.sendmail.org for some anti-spam tips.  

You can also report the offending mail server to your ISP and have 
them blacklisted, check out www.abuse.net.

Finally, you can get software capable of filtering mail based on 
headers, content, etc.  There are lots on the market, for example 
trend micro make a decent product: www.antivirus.com.
