3600 series Xmodem steps

http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/software/ios113ed/113aa/113a
a_2/allplats/ifs.htm

download & RMON commands (looks like mostly 7xxx series)

I really do not think this will work. The 3600 router is not designed to
have the board FLASH empty or bypassed. As it appears by the documentation,
the FLASH card is just another bank you can point the config @ for the IOS
image. I'm supposing you have no interfaces in this router (reason for
Xmodem question), but it looks like the best thing to do is pull down a code
that will fit in your onboard FLASH. Take the PMCIA card & download the
image you desire on another router (any PMCIA device should be able to
foster this). Re-install the PMCIA card & point you boot config to it- your
done...

Have I helped ???
Phil
