Everything you need to know is in the NetRanger documentation on CCO!

http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/iaabu/csids/csids1/index.htm

Pay particular attention to the "Overview" and "Installation" chapters.
Study which daemons run on which boxes, and what functions they perform.
Study the menu structures, and what happens when you right- or left-click
an icon, and the most commonly-used dialog boxes.

It's all in there -- I took the test and passed with many points to spare.
