Let me clarify, I am successfully running c2500-js-l.120-9.bin (Enterprise
Plus IOS) on all five of my Cisco 2500 series routers with 16MB Ram and 8MB
Flash installed in each. I know of 20+ others who are doing the same thing.
The image occupies 6.82 MB of the 8 MB flash. It loads very slow due to the
decompression of the image (it takes 4-5 minutes for the router to load) but
it does work quite well. 12.09 is the newest Enterprise Plus IOS that will
fit in the 8MB of RAM on a 2500. Additionally 12.09 Enterprise Plus IPSec
is too large and won't work.
