No offense intended- but I have about $10,000 dollars in a homelab sitting
right next to me & another $5,000 planned before I take the lab next summer.
The fees associated with the written ($300), the lab (another $1,000 or so),
& whatever traveling expenses I might incur- seem so inconsequential (now
the $4,000 for CCIE lab class will hurt for sure :-) Don't forget the
positives- there are people that bill $200 an hour as a CCIE (people in my
company). From what I can calculate- obtaining the CCIE will have cost me
as much 2 years of college & selling my lab equipment will be the equivalent
of winning a new car without having to pay the taxes :o)
OK- I'll go back to studying now...
