Internet Routing Architectures 1st ed. 7. Bridges, routers and switches for CCIE. Andrew Bruce Caslows 8. TCP/IP illustrated vol 1. 9. CCIEPrep token-ring tutorial. 10. and, don't forget cisco web page. Wealth source of info. To conclude my failure at first time, I have the following recommendations to other candidate: 1. Do not put "too much" concentration on hard topics but ignore easy and straight-forward topics. 2. Do not overlook cisco device operation. 3. Do not overlook token-ring, RIF. 4. Do not overlook TCP/IP protocol stack operation. 5. Try to remember the numbers of routing protocol, routed protocol, and fields. Most of them are listed in ICRC and ACRC. This is my 0.02. Good luck.
