The connection speed depends not only on the PRI, but where the user calls
from. It depends on the CO the user is on or how many CO's the user has to
transit. The speeds will vary depending on the users analog telephone
connection/setup. Check it yourself, take a laptop different places and
dial-in. Turn on logging and you will see the negotiated speed.

Subject: RAS monitor [7:3546]

Hello,

We've got a 3640 router with E1/PRI. Some users
complain that they couldn't get 56K while others
could. Is there a RAS monitoring software that could
periodically dials to the 3640 and check the speed so
I can tell the users go complain with their teleco?

Thanks in advance.

Jim
