Hi folks, I'm confused with the output of 'show proc mem'. #################################### On a 4000m, I have: cisco 4000 (68030) processor (revision 0xB0) with 16384K/4096K bytes of memory. And my output for sh proc mem is: 4000M#sh proc mem Total: 4745316, Used: 2492048, Free: 2253268 ################################ On a 2501, I have: cisco 2500 (68030) processor (revision F) with 16384K/2048K bytes of memory. And my output for sh proc mem is: R1>sh proc mem Total: 17852852, Used: 4281636, Free: 13571216 ########################################################### On a 4500M, I have: cisco 4500 (R4K) processor (revision D) with 32768K/16384K bytes of memory. And my output for sh proc mem is: 4500M#sh proc mem Total: 7890976, Used: 3305100, Free: 4585876 ######################################################## My question is, the total memory coming from 'sh proc mem' is relevant to what? And how does such number exist? Thanks for any help. -Frank Message Posted at: http://www.groupstudy.com/form/read.php?f=7&i=6710&t=6710 -------------------------------------------------- FAQ, list archives, and subscription info: http://www.groupstudy.com/list/cisco.html Report misconduct and Nondisclosure violations to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
