We have a Class C n/w consisting of a Cisco 2000 series Router, a Catalyst
6000 Switch with a Firewall implementation of a PIX 520 supported by a
Failover PIX...We have divided our Class C into Outside, DMZ1,DMZ2,DMZ3,DMZ4
& Inside. We have extended the Inside zone from the ISP's Data centre to our
corporate office through 2 T1 ckts. where we have a Cisco 2000 series
Router, a Catalyst 4000 series Switch, a Catalyst 3500 series Switch and
another PIX firewall 515 which is split into 3 zones........Outside, DMZ &
Inside............

Recently we have been observing poor network performance within the
network.....I used FTP for testing the throughput between
zones.....Connectivity is great from & within the zones in our office
location.....but connectivity is BAD from the zones in our office to the
Outside & DMZ1 zones at the ISPs Data center........However from the DMZ3
zone at the ISP Data Center location......connecticity to these Outside &
DMZ1 zones is good.....
Also connectivity from our zones in office to the DMZ3 zone is great
...........
So what could be the problem here.......Is it a Firewal issue ?? Is it the
Switch......??? Or any of the Routers.........Anyone ??????
Please help......

Thanks,

Ash.
