Curtis, Here's a copy of the config. One thing that's important besides the commands is that in the older IOS versions, you must do a Control+C to get out of config mode, 'exit' is not a valid command. Also, the STS-10 does not support routing, hence the need for the 'default-gateway' statement. Other than that, you should be good to go: term-serv#wr t Current configuration: ! enable-password *** ! ! ! interface Ethernet 0 ip address 192.168.1.150 255.255.255.128 ! ip default-gateway 192.168.1.129 ! ! ! ip name-server 255.255.255.255 ip host SW1 2006 192.168.1.150 ip host PIX 2005 192.168.1.150 ip host SPARC5 192.168.1.2 ip host R1 2001 192.168.1.150 ip host R2 2002 192.168.1.150 ip host R3 2003 192.168.1.150 --More-- ip host R3620 2001 192.168.1.150 ip host R2621 2002 192.168.1.150 ip host R2514 2003 192.168.1.150 ip host SPARC20 2004 192.168.1.150 hostname term-serv ! line vty 0 4 login line con 0 exec-timeout 0 0 line 1 modem inout line 2 modem inout line 3 modem inout line 4 modem inout line 5 modem inout line 6 modem inout --More-- line 7 modem inout line 8 modem inout line 9 modem inout line vty 0 password *** line vty 1 password *** line vty 2 password *** line vty 3 password *** line vty 4 password *** ! end -----Original Message----- From: Curtis Newman [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Wednesday, June 27, 2001 11:02 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Cc: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Attn: Kent Hundley or any STS terminal Expert Thanks for helping me get into my Cisco STS, I was wondering if you could help me with one more problem, is it possible that you can send me a copy of your config from your STS, this IOS is so old that I am still trying to figure out how to configure the terminal lines to talk to my router. If you can explain what commands that I need to use that will work as well. Is the only way to make this device work, is to go through a routers ethernet address or can I go through the routers console port please help.
