I understand where you're coming from, but in practice I have found this not
to be the case. I attended a jobs fair a month or so ago with a friend who
has just passed the CCNA. I brought my resume along to pass out aswell
(even though I was happily employed @ the time). I would say 75% recruiters
identified his CCNA & wanted me to explain what the CCNP was. My buddy got
a kick out it & I was kinda puzzled. Not everyone in Telecom or IT is
technical, I guess it's likened to a large hospital that only supports a
handful of MD's...
