Hi all,

Page 66 of the Cisco Press BCRAN book says that all RJ45 router console
ports are DTE except for 1700 series which is DCE.
That would suggest to me that for a 1700 you would need to swap your
standard rolled console cable for a straight, but I never have done.
Anybody got any idea where this has come from? Is it a typo maybe, and there
is a router which has a RJ45 DCE, or is it just plain wrong?

Cheers,

Gaz
