No etherchannel,  but many other different ways like:

MLPPP
CEF per packet load balancing
Regular per session or per packet load balancing.

Do a search at  "cisco.google.com/cisco" for examples and limitations.
Usually I would find the links for ya but it's late and I am going to bed.
Also check the groupstudy archives.  Serial link load balancing has come up
a lot in the last 6 months.
