Don't get so "peered" off Chuck :>)
Most I have ever really used is 3.  Used it on a duel home setup with UUNET
where you peer with the router behind their edge routers.  It's a little
load balanceing trick.  2 router hops and 1 extra to get to the loopback.
The only time I used more was when I tried to peer my lab with yours Chuck
!!!  which never worked anyway cus 255 wasn't enough to get through @home's
lousy network or something   :>/
