Subject: Redistributing from Rip to Bgp-Not Working!! [7:20485]

NT:: Ok. by doing this you're passing the IGP learned routes into bgp. Now
when you
redistribute bgp into the IGP make sure you're only allowing external bgp
routes only. The
redistribution you discussed would be better if done on RC, since it makes
the direct e-bgp
connection with RD. Based on the redistribution of BGP into the IGP(ripv2),
the then
150.10.0.0 network which would have only showed up in RB's BGP table, will
now be
added to the IP RIB. In performing redistribution from the EGP into the IGP
a route will
be added to the IGP for that network therefore synchronizing the route.
This means
there's no need for the command "no sync" BGP routes learned from RC and RD
would then be known by the IGP and be sync'd. The important thing to note
here is the addressing.
If you're using the same network on all the connecting router links then
there's nothing to worry
about. However, if the RBRC link in on a different network make sure
you either add that
network to the IGP or redistribute it as a connected interface.

On RTC, I have a network 150.10.0.0

NT: You did not mention anything about BGP connections on RA or RG. You
said they
were running RIPv2, which is what the routes coming from RC and RD be
identified
as in the RIB of RA and RG. .

NT: It's always better to post configs when posting questions like this..
it makes
understanding the your topology and provide better insight to those willing
to make
suggestions.
