This is really bothering me and I hope you can help,

When I advertise a route:
network 172.16.0.0 0.0.255.255 area 0

The other OSPF routers display it in their routing
tables not as a /16 network, but show the actual IP
address of the interface followed by /32.

This bugs me, can anybody tell me why OSPF does this?

TIA.......R
