While trying to find a good definition of what a Magic Number is (CCO was useless, many hits on where & why used, but none on a concise definition on what it was.) I found this site using Google.
http://www.science.uva.nl/~mes/jargon/ It is in the Netherlands of all places, but seems to be pretty good. With it I was able to "grok" (check dictionary to see what that means) what a magic number is.
