this command, prevent broadcast from being dropped. So after activating this, u can configure helper-address to convert broadcast to unicast or to propagate broadcast to some other subnets. The command "ip directed-broadcast" enable the translation of directed broadcast. This is used if u have a DHCP or BOOTP server and clients on different subnets. Helper Address are used to permit client to join servers.
