This is interesting but it still doesn't explain what it does.  Here is
a snippet from the 12.0 command summary for source-bridge:

Usage Guidelines 

The parser automatically displays the word "active" in the
source-bridge command in configurations that have SRB enabled. You do
not need to enter the source-bridge command with the active keyword.

Well that clears that up, huh?  Clear as mud....
