I would be surprised to learn of anything in the copyright laws that
prohibit my lending a book to someone else. I buy a book. My wife reads it
too. She buys one, I read it. I buy a book and read it to my kids. So what?
these acts are violations of the copyright laws?

If I were to photocopy a book, and then give someone else that
reproduction... well that's a different story.

EA,

Are you a library? Did the publisher of the book give
you the right to "lend" your copy out like they do
libraries? I think not.
