Hi, I have a PIX 501 and a single network segment 192.168.1.0 including a Linux with web server and mail server.I want to protect the internal network from outside ,giving access only to web server and give access to outside not to everyone. I have a single real address 209.x.x.x
My questions: Can I connect the PIX directly on Internet via a cable modem instead using a router (as a default gateway)? If a give to Linux system a private address 192.168.1.3, the users from outside will be allowed to access the web server?
