The 2502 doesn't have rommon, but uses boot mode (supported by the ROM version). The 25xx routers are generally fixed interface and must be upgraded through these fixed interfaces. Your 2502 of course can be upgraded via Token or Serial. Have you tried making a peer router a TFTP Server ??? You can either download 2500 code onto any extra FLASH memory of the adjacent router (I use a 4500M as my TFTP server in the lab) becoming or use the same IOS image off of another 2500 using the TFTP Server command.
All the best !!! [7:31899] Hello, Is there a way to upgrade the ios on a 2502 router via the console port? I have used the xmodem -c command on a 2600 and a 3600 series router but cannot use this on the 2500 series. Has anyone had success on a 2500 TR router? Thank you. _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp. _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
