  Maybe it's too early but I don't understand what your saying here.  I
can't think of a scenerio in which I cannot ping the other side of a
directly connected network.  What you can't ping is yourself if your
frame relay is a multipoint configuration
 unless you build a map back to youself but becareful you may go blind;)
