I am going to venture a guess :- According to MS NT's static ports assignment, TCP: 42 is for WINS replication, perhaps by changing this statetment from ip nat inside source static 10.0.3.40 xxx.xxx.xxx.156 extendable to ip nat inside source static 10.0.3.40 42 xxx.xxx.xxx.156 42 extendable may solve the problem.
However, according to MS two other ports are also used in WINS functions: TCP:135 for WINS Manager and TCP:137 for WINS Registration. Interest to know if this helps.
