Look at ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/networking/software/59692320.pdf (the docs for the 4000M), especially page 6-62 & up. Basically, they just have to assign the same port to both VLANs and make them both 'tagged'. That should work. (Note, I haven't seen a Procurve in my life.
