The .rar files are compressed files.  It is a little better compression than
a zip file.

a .rar file is a rawrite file if I remember correctly.  this is a file you
need to install the software for a pix 520.  if you load the file on a
floppy with the version of software for the pix it will let you boot and
load the software.

Once again this is if I remember right, I haven't worked on any Cisco
equipment for 6 months and am trying to get back into the mode.  Anybody
feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
