Sup III cards require sup3 code. The versions that just say sup are for Sup I & II cards. Sup III cards have slots for Flash Cards. If you have those, then you can store multiple images. You must have a line in your config something like "boot system flash: image name" If your switch goes looking for a file that no longer exists it becomes unhappy. Version 6 of Cat code requires 64 MB of DRAM. There may also be a Firmware requirement. Check the docs for the desired image. Some of the first paragraphs will explain the requirements. The RSM is a router on a blade. It has its own IOS image that you would load seperately.
