Stub restricts both.  Consider that a router uses a type 4 to learn where 
type 5's came from.  Since there's no 5's, there needn't be any 4's.

If you originate a default from an ABR into an NSSA area, I believe it 
should come out as a type 3.  I've seen implementations send 7's in this 
case as well.  I don't have a router to test so hopefully another member 
will verify.  This variance can be very important as it results in a large 
variance in normal protocol preference (admin distance in the cisco 
case)  Juniper has recently decided to allow the user to chose.
