Hi, People do not fear or hate normal Americans citizens, but they fear the American government and hate its policy towards the world.
The American government backs and arms dictatorships all over the world including South America, Middle East and Africa, so for example Mubarak in Egypt or Fahad in Saudi Arabia are vicious dictators backed and protected by the American government, as happened in the second Gulf war. When the American government wages a war as it did in Vietnam where 1 million people were killed, or Iraq where 1 million have died then its for its national interest, for example oil in the gulf, not humanity.
