Page 316 - For FRame RElay deployments, use the frame-relay payload-compress command to enable STAC compression on an interface or a subinterface. The reason that you can only use payload compression on a framer-relay interface is becuase the header information needs to remain intact so it can be read by the switches that the transmission crosses.
