I just did the same thing and it worked perfect.  I took the configs of a
515 I configured some months back, and I cut and paste.  No problems at all.

They're equivalent, as long as you had 6.1 or better on your 515.  When

download the 6.1 > image, you download the same image for the 501 that

d/l for the 506, 515, 525, and 535.  I have a 501 at my home and I
"templated" the ISAKMP/IPSec stuff from a 515 I had configured for a
customer.
