I resently passed the CCNA 607 test using 507 material. Cisco Press (ICND), Todd Lammle's CCNA Study Guide, RouterSim and the Boson test prep. I read both books and had the same problem of understanding the big picture and how all of the 'technologies' worked. I sat down with Todd Lammle's book and read it again; however, this time I took notes as I went along. I found this to be a great help. In fact, I passed the test with a 930. Not great, but not bad either. More importantly, I understand things I tested on.
